Weekly Update One: Welcome to the New Blog!

Coming to you from the Opportunity Unit crew, this is our first weekly update of 2025! We will be starting to post about what is going on in unit so our community can check in on current projects and updates any time. Expect news from each of our three units!

Hospitality Unit

• The garden is growing! It's that time of the year where the fruits of our labor are ripe. This week we harvested some of our snap peas.

  • We're expecting tomatoes soon!

  • We'd love more help with our garden, if you'd like to come plant, add plots, harvest, or more!

• Wellness Wednesday is happening every week at 2PM.

  • Our latest topic was healthy budgeting.

• We're making our clubhouse more green with more houseplants, we would love some help propagating and decorating.

Business Unit

• We're redoing our job board after recent jobs have moved around at program meeting.

• We recently added job descriptions around the unit to make our work easier to learn and teach!

• Our monthly newsletter is going to be on its way very soon, we've finalized all of the pages this week. Please look forward to it!

Opportunity Unit

• We updated ALL of our furniture! If you like TLC or have a penchant for organization, the OU is the place for you! We'd love help continuing to refine the space.

  • As part of this change...drum roll please...we have a printer! We are now able to print, scan, and copy all in unit!

• We're experimenting with an adaptive job board, were some things like the snack bar are constant, but others get moved to the sign up based on current needs!

• We had a wonderful few days making merch all together for Pride 2025! We designed, cut, peeled, and heat pressed all of our bandanas that were proudly displayed by those who came to our booth at Pride in the Park! If you see a rainbow bandana out in the wild, you never know, it might be ours!
