About the Event
HERO House NW: Providing Hope, Empowerment, Relationships and Opportunities for people living with serious mental illness Our Mission:
To champion behavioral health recovery by facilitating Clubhouse expansion throughout the Puget Sound region and beyond.
We envision a world where people living with serious mental illness thrive in communities of hope and opportunity.
HERO House NW operates three Clubhouse programs in Bellevue, Seattle and Everett, Washington. Clubhouse gives people whose lives have been disrupted by mental illness the opportunity to recover meaning, purpose, and dignity through work and community. Through meaningful relationships and work, our Clubhouse members have real opportunities to reintegrate into society by becoming gainfully employed, pursuing education and attaining stable housing.
Due to safety restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic, our Clubhouses can only serve a limited number of members at a time. While we do continue to offer virtual Work Ordered Day programming, not all members can or choose to access this online resource.
Please help provide more Clubhouse members the opportunity to participate in in-person Clubhouse programs during COVID-19 and beyond. The isolation, stress and anxiety brought on by this pandemic make it even more critical that members can experience the community and support found in Clubhouse.
We are expanding our in-person member capacity in each of our three programs:
- Bellevue Clubhouse - build out existing space in our building
- Seattle Clubhouse - locate larger space at a different site.
- Everett Clubhouse - lease and build out space adjacent to our current Clubhouse location.
This expansion will allow us to accommodate more members both during COVID and beyond . Your gift in support of this project will allow more members to find meaning, purpose and community as they participate in the Work Ordered Day program.
